4. Post something that you're going to do differently this coming week

If there was one change this week, if you did ANYHING differently from the week before, celebrate...not with food, but with a bubble bath, go for coffee....do something that will give you 15 min. of relaxation and time to re-focus for the next week!!

Good Morning! Well, here goes:
1. 127
2. 0!
3. I exercised a few times this week which is definately new and I cut out most sweets.
4. Obviously I need to cut out ALL sweets and exercise a few more times next week. I'm really bummed to not lose any weight, although I know that can happen. It's frustrating to make these changes and have such high hopes and then the scale doesn't reflect those changes-especially on the first week!
I'll just keep on keeping on, and hope for a big loss next week!
Good luck everyone!

Okay ladies,

I've lost 3 lbs. this week. I am feeling encouraged and ready to continue on this path.

I met my goal of exercising 4times this week. Brad and I even met at the Y Monday and worked out together. The boys have a basketball class Monday at 3:45pm so our family goal is to make Monday evening our Y night, let the kids go to child watch for a while and let the parents work out and then take them swimming. I also ate pretty well, although there is still room for improvement.

This week I plan on working more on drinking my water and not eating after 8pm, I blew that a few nights but it was heatlhy food.:)

I have been re-reading Let me be a woman by Elisabeth Elliot. She talks about discipline and order and how that relates to the Christian life. She discusses how not taking care of your appearance may reflect a disordered spirit. That has been me, I have been reluctant to believe that God will truly meet me in this struggle, so that is my real goal for this week. I know in my head that God will not leave me in this struggle, I know that He alone is my biggest cheerleader in this, I just need to embrace that truth and trust Him in all things, even weight loss and health.

Thanks ladies for your encouragement and prayers. He is using you to help me, you are his hands and feet! Have a great weekend.

Erin-
Don't be discouraged!! You are doing great. You have been at this for a while now and have just hit a plateau. Your goals for the coming week sound great. I'll ask you about them on Wednesday, for accountability.

Miss-

Okay, Ladies, my update for this week:
I lost one pound, which means I am now 130. I am glad for that one pound.
A victory this week...I ate what I was supposed to, when I was supposed to. I am back off of sweets, which makes me feel so much better. I started back on the Cinch shakes and that is helping me feel satisfied and energized when I typically want to eat from exhaustion.
My goal for this week: It is still to not eat after 8pm. This is such a battle for me. This is when my defenses are down, and I am ready to give in. I am not hungry, just tired and weak. Moriah is wide awake until well after midnight (last night it was 3am) and I am looking for energy. It's hard! My goal is to read my Bible and drink decaffeinated tea during the wee hours of the morning.
I love you all and am praying for you!!

Hi, well I weighed in, and lost .7 pounds which is a huge victory for me- as I didn't follow much of what I wanted to do this week. I've just felt so BUSY- a little overwhelmed with everything I'm doing (3 bible studies, Shaklee, family, getting ready for a trip next week which involves buying and wrapping 22+ presents to bring along). I guess I need to have a plan. (I thought I had a plan!?) I did some things right. I had a few shakes last week, and that was good. And, I'm very happy that I lost something. At least I'm not going UP! Andi

I said that i had a hard time with all the candy that was around the house and last friday I weighed in at 155 5 more pounds than i was the previous week. This week I really tried to stay away from the candy. and this morning I weighed in at 150. so I really didn't lose anything but the five pounds I gained. I'm really hoping to exercise more and get below 150 next time. I was really struggling this week with going out and exercising and my devotions. I was able to control my eating which got be back to where I was. I am also drinking the soy energy drink. Ok I'm off to the Y for some exercise.
Great job everyone and have a Blessed day.
Lori

Erin, I wanted to encourage you. More than likely the reason that you didn't lose anything is because you're exercising now, and when you exercise, it builds muscle which weighs more than fat. I can't tell you the times that ladies at WW would be SO discouraged because they had lost nothing that week- or worse yet, they had gained and yet they had followed the plan perfectly. And, the Leader would say, "Did you do anything differently this week?" And, sure enough, they had started exercising. It is only temporary, though. The weight WILL come off. Hang in there! Remember we're all in this together. We can DO this!!! Andi

Guess what I just did? I just read (again) all the scriptures and sayings that we each picked to help us through these times... wow, I was almost through reading them, and I started crying. They are POWERFUL and encouraging. I plan to read all of them each time I come to this site- and not just race through them either... I feel so much better for having read them today.

Sounds like everyone is getting a good start. I weigh the same as last week. Lost nothing! But its ok. I ate pretty good, except for one small piece of Dairy Queen cake. But I didn't exercise much so I know thats where I need to improve. I will :) or I have no one to blame but myself if I don't lose.
Good luck everyone in the next week!!!!

1. My weight: 129
2. Lost this week: 1 lb. (but 9 since Sept.)
3. Victory: keeping at it when I am weak (and hungry) and so tempted to quit(or eat something really fattening!). I am working so hard, and results are happening very slowly.
4. Something different next week: find a new healthy meal to cook that my family will like! Richard is beginning to join me in my endeavor for fitness, this is more motivating to me to have him along!

Great work everyone!!!!! Lets try to have a great stick to it week since Turkey day is fast approaching. Thanks for all of the encouraging words and prayers... Amy H and Heather, dont be too hard on yourself, having a newborn around is such a blessing but it makes it sooo hard to be consistent with eating and exercise, So enjoy those beautiful girls, you both look great and just being mindful of making good choices will pay off even if you need that late night snack, just make sure its a healthy one. God will honor your heart to be healthier!!!!
