Week 2 Check-In

You've made it through week one and you're well into week two!

For the rest of the challenge, I want us to focus on more than just the numbers on the scale; think about whether you've had more energy, self-esteem, and passion for life.
Pay more attention to your overall progress than to the individual days.

1. Did you meet your goal this week? If so, tell us how!
2. What was your greatest challenge this week?
3. What was your greatest victory this week (it may seem small, but any victory is worth celebrating!)?
4. What is one thing you're going to do differently this coming week so that you will continue to meet your goals?

Keep up the good work! Refer back to your emergency plan and remember why you are doing this challenge! You are going to experience great victories!
Just like the penquins in the picture...you're not doing this alone!

Hi Everyone,
1. I'm on my way to meeting my goal; I'm not sure how much I've lost this week, but I'm at 120 which makes me really happy!
2. My greatest challenge this week was not eating everything in sight. I've been craving sweets like crazy!
3. My greatest victory is that I only gave in once. I've also realized how much of an emotional eater I am. Now that I'm more conscious of this, I'm getting better at asking myself why I want to eat and if I'm really hungry or bored, sad, stressed, etc. I'm also happy I used the weight machines at the Y yesterday.
4. I'm going to meet my goals by being more conscious of my portion size. I think that's where my big downfall is right now since I'm not eating sweets and I'm exercising.
Good luck to you all; I hope you're meeting your goals, and staying warm!
Heather, I missed you this morning. I hope all is well, and the visit with your in laws is going well.

1. Well I think I met my goal this week! I started at 187 last week and was 179 today! That is an 8lb loss! I am happy with it even if it is just water weight! My mini goal is 14 by my birthday on February 28th and I am over halfway there already! The loss will slow down now to about.5 to 2 lbs a week but I can live with that! A loss is a loss in my book!
2. I still really craved taco bell!
3. On weight watchers you get and extar 35pts a week to use in any way yuo like. ALl in a day some every day or none. I usually try to use none just keep myself in a balance of not gorging just bcause I can. I did however, want some chocolate the other night and was out of points and tapped into my extras. I didn't go over board and I think used only 8 which I was proud of.
4. I am really going to some form of organized exercise other than chasinga toddler around! I'm think of buying a mam and me workout tape that you can do with your baby and your toddler! I think 30$ will be well spent there!

Erin!!! GREAT JOB! I don't know you but keep it up! I bought a cheap weighing scale at bed bath and beyond only 6$!!! It really keps my portions in check!

Hi, girls! Great job, Erin and Bobbie! Erin- I missed you, too, this morning. :( I am glad that I was able to talk to you a little while ago!
Bobbie- I'll bet you're feeling great! What a loss!! Keep up the great work!
1. I am down to 122 now. I didn't reach my exercise goals yet this week, but I will!
2. My greatest challenge this week was wanting to eat late at night. With Nate re-doing the floors and family from Florida being here from out of town, I haven't gotten much sleep. Thus, I want to eat. Thankfully, I didn't give in too many times.
3. My greatest victory this week: sticking to my running schedule! My dad and I are doing a 5K on February 7th and I want to beat him badly. I really want to increase my time, so I am sticking to a schedule my husband has helped me with. I know, it probably sounds pretty pathetic that I am afraid my dad might beat me, but since he has lost 70 pounds, he runs everyday and races a lot.
Also, I have been drinking A LOT of water, which is so good for me!
4. I am going to stop eating at 8pm every night this week. The evenings are usually hard for me not to snack. I know what I should eat and when. Also, if I eat too late at night I get cramps when I run in the morning.
Keep up the good work, everyone!

1. Did you meet your goal this week? If so, tell us how! Well I went grocery shopping and I bought healthier stuff, which is a long term goal for me. I even cooked a great meal on Monday (which ran over to Tuesday for leftovers) and put veggies in it (which I usually don't). :-)
2. What was your greatest challenge this week? Its so cold out I just don't want to do anything but lay around under a blanket:-)
3. What was your greatest victory this week (it may seem small, but any victory is worth celebrating!)? Easting and buying those veggies!!
4. What is one thing you're going to do differently this coming week so that you will continue to meet your goals? I think portion size is a good one. I usually only eat toast or cereal for breakfast then a descent dinner. I need to get back in the habit of smaller portions more often. It worked great while I was pregnant

My goal for the week was to lose another lb. I didn't. I'm still at 185, but at least I didn't gain anything back.

What I've been doing differently: I ate smaller portions. I had a lot of fruit & veggies and I didn't snack on any junk.

My biggest challenge has been not getting to the Y. I've been working for the last 6 day and the weather has been so horrible that I couldn't get there in the evening or on the weekend. But I am definately going tomorrow & Friday.

My greatest victory was not gaining any weight and really liking the food that I have been eating. I have really been feeling the difference in my general well being.

WOW its so nice to see how well everyone is doing Meeting even the smallest goals is great and keeps us going.
1. Did you meet your goal this week? I don't know that I had a specific goal this week but I didn't gain any weight but I didn't lose any either. Still at 127
2. What was your greatest challenge this week? Walking by the vending machine many many times a day and not giving it my money. I am still trying to establish a routine with work, 2 kids, and a hubby. I'm really really tired thats my challenge
3. What was your greatest victory this week (it may seem small, but any victory is worth celebrating!)? Being snowed in on Saturday and not eating like a piggy like I wanted to.
4. What is one thing you're going to do differently this coming week so that you will continue to meet your goals? I have to "find" more energy. I'm going to try some of the tips Heather posted yesterday. I'm actually drinking pomegranite green tea. I'll be honest its got nothing on Chic Fil A :) this green tea is a little bitter but I'll keep trying since its better for me but I cant say I'll ever give up my bad for me drinks. I'm also gonna get some more groceries that I can take for lunch so I can try to stay on track.
Good luck in the week ahead ladies and watch out Joel Heather is coming!!

Amy, they say it takes 10 tries for your tastebuds to like something. So keep drinking that green tea. Drink it for 10 days (or 21 days, thats how long it takes to establish a habit) and you might like it then.

That being said, I LOVE chic fila tea too, and arbys and mcdonalds all have great sweet tea!!

Meet your goals, girls, and I'll take you both out for Chick-fil-a sweet tea. I love their ice cream cones.
Tawnya- last week when you went into JC Penney, I got an ice cream cone before going home. It is only 150 calories. Soft serve ice cream is my weakness! :) I never feel guilty eating it, either.
