Lean protein satisfies your hunger and keeps your blood sugar levels steady? Plus, lean protein allows you to maintain muscle mass while losing weight, which keeps your metabolism running at full speed. Cutting back on protein during weight loss, on the other hand, contributes to a loss of muscle mass and a slower metabolism.
When it comes to protein, the best choices include lean cuts of beef (such as eye of round), ground beef (sirloin, lean, and extra lean), tenderloin, top loin, and top round, as well as skinless turkey and chicken breast, pork loin and pork tenderloin, fish and shellfish, and tofu and soy-based meat alternatives. Protein sources that are high in saturated fat should be avoided. These include brisket, liver, rib steaks (like prime rib), chicken and turkey pieces with the skin (as well as dark meat), duck, and goose. (to read tip, click here)

I have to admit that I DO NOT eat enough protein during the day. What I used to do was boil some chicken on Monday, so that it was around all week to make fajitas, chicken wraps, salads, or just an afternoon snack! My goal is to get back to this! I am just so much a carb lover, but I realize that protein is SO important!!
How are you going to eat lean this week?

I'm going food shopping today and I will be buying some boneless, skinless chickeng breasts. I like them alot and they are so good in so many ways.
I have had such a thing for foods that have fat in it this past week..Hot Dogs, stuffed peppers with hot sausage. Lean protein will be a nice good.
I need to get back on track!
Have a safe trip home.
We pretty much just eat chicken!! I have never broiled it though. Heather you will have to tell me how:) Hope you had a great trip and welcome back!!
Tawnya-
Yes, broiling is good, too, but I actually meant boiling.
We DID have a great trip! I am happy to be back...now! I had a hard time yesterday, but today I remember why I love it here so much!! God has definitely brought us here for a purpose!!
