Alright girls, so it wasnt my banner week.
I didnt get any intention exercise in due in part to a nagging cold and a stressed out husband
but truly it was me not placing a priority on my own health. Also I didnt really pay close attention to my eating...therefore...
I am up one lb. from my last week loss of 3...bummer...but at least I know why... I am determined to turn it around this week and really focus, one decision at a time this week to make good choices, Thanks for the support and Heather I really apprieciate what you wrote about marriage. My hubby is in a really tough place with his job right now and I feel so powerless to cheer him up...I love him so much it hurts sometimes and watching him struggle to stay positive is painful. Please pray for Brad (I know you already do) and for me to be his helper and encourager. My hearts desire is to serve him and thus serve the Lord...

Hi Ladies,
Missy, I'm sorry it wasn't a great week for you, I know next week will be better! Good luck!
Unlike last week, I had a good week this past week; I lost 3 pounds, down to 124. Hmm, a victory that happened this week? I'd have to say getting in three good workouts despite an out of town husband and turning down birthday cake last night. Something I'm going to do differently this coming week is going to be tough...I'm going to try not to make a pig of myself on Thanksgiving, like I usually do!
Heather, you're doing an incredible job on the blog articles, I enjoy reading them each day. I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions for what else to write about.
Good luck ladies, have a superb weekend!

Thank you, Missy and Erin for your encouragement. You are great!

Miss- I will be praying that this week will be much better for you. And, I am especially praying for Brad today. Thank you for always being honest when I ask you how he's doing. It helps me to know how to pray! I also want you to know that that one pound may just be water weight...so don't be discouraged! At least you didn't gain all three back! Please pray for our Healthy Living Program tonight...I would appreciate it!

Erin- Let's try to get in a few workouts this week before Thanksgiving and then maybe we won't GAIN weight over Thanksgiving!! I leave Wednesday late morning for Xenia, OH.

This week I lost 2 pounds. I am almost able to fit into my jeans. I am looking forward to having more things to wear.
My goal for the coming week is not to eat ALL DAY LONG on Thanksgiving, but eat regular meals throughout the day. Enjoy a piece of pie, but not six pieces.

Remember, everyone...weigh-in will be on Wednesday this week!

I did a great job with my eating. I did not eat any sweets. I even made 20dz buckeyes and did not even try one. I only ate one bread per day and increased my protien and ate veggies and fruits. I did not exercise at all some because Dan was away for most of the week and mostly because I couldn't get motivated to go out. I still have not lost anything. I am pretty frustrated so I broke into the buckeyes and ate one and 1/2. I will try to excercise next week.

Lori!!!

I am ashamed to report that I have eaten more than 1 1/2 buckeyes over the last two days...I think it has been about 4!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ate one while i was putting them securely into the freezer and I ate the others today at the walker family fun night!!! However Drew ate at least 4 in one sitting!! They are safely back into the freezer until turkey day, or at least until tomorrow!!!!! At least I had enough sense not to purchase the addictive clothespins...not yet at least!!!

how many times did I say "at least"? What is wrong with me?????

Missy-A few buckeyes never hurt anyone but a Wolverine. Go Bucks tomorrow!!!

Erin-Way to turn down that birthday cake!

Heather-I'm happy for you to get back into those cute jeans. You've worked hard and deserve the reward.

Lori-You are the definition of strength, only eatin one half of one delicious Buckeye out of 20 DOZEN. WOW

I weigh 134 which means I lost nothing again, I even cut my hair and it didn't help :) I finally got on the treadmill this past week and did actual exercise. I also walked around Target shopping with Haley that's gotta count for something. I have been making pretty good about food choices with a few exceptions but everything in moderation.
As for next week, I have to do more of that "actual" exercise. I will also need to be good on Thanksgiving. I'll remember the benefits of turkey that Heather posted about a few days ago.
I would like to read more about easy healthy snacks that aren't too expensive or hard to make-that's a tall order isn't it. I also like reading about marriage since most of us can relate and encourage.

Here's to another healthy week and Happy Thanksgiving. Also enjoy the bargain hunting if you are one of those crazy women or men who goes out at 4am Friday in the cold just for fun. I can't wait!

Okay, it's a day late, but I'm finally posting. I have lost another pound this week, that puts me at 128, which is good, but I'm ending my week rather frustrated. See, I started dieting and exercising vigorously back in late August. I weighed 138#. For those of you who are not having much success, I had the exact same results for 2 months! I exercised hard 3-4 times a week and watched everything I ate, no cheating at all! But didn't lose a pound until October! Well, then it started coming off slowly and steadily and I kept up the same diet and exercise. I have now reached my 10 lb. mark, which I am excited about, but now I am facing another problem. I have been sick with cough, congestion, low grade fever for 3 weeks now, and I just can't shake it! I can't exercise as much as I'd like because it just hurts my lungs! I don't have an infection because I work at a pediatrician's office and have checked my cbc, it's just viral.
Anyway, that is where I stand right now, still making slow progress but could be faster if I could shake this sickness! I'm not giving up, I am going to reach my goal! Have a good week, I will pray for you all, please pray for me.
