Tip #3- Get your zzzz's
Oh, boy, this past week my lack of sleep has caught up with me. I have had to set everything else aside and allow my body to sleep. I had to give up a few eagerly anticipated things this week because I was so sleep deprived. Looking back on it, it was well worth it!
Did you know that our bodies heal when we sleep? So many great things take place when we indulge in some zzzz's: Our joints get to rest, our minds recover, our bodies heal, etc. This Christmas, you may have to set aside some quality sleep time. If you're a Type A personality like me, this is going to be hard to do. But, remember that sleep also makes us alot more fun to be around! We are able to handle all of the holiday activities and the various peoples and personalities if we have had a great night's sleep.
As a review....
Tip #2- Eat Mindfully....if you're going to indulge, make sure it's for the right reasons AND it is really what you want to eat! My dear friend, Amy, is a girl who loves sugary, choclately coffee drinks (as does my hubby)...I, on the other hand, can pass up and drink and would much rather splurge on M & M's....all of our taste buds are very different. Indulge in the things that you enjoy! You will feel much more satisfied afterwards.
Tip #1 - Choose to forgive this Christmas and, in turn, Be forgiven....
Even today, I was faced with this challenge again. Forgive, Forgive, Forgive....it really is the best thing you can do for your health. Have you ever been so angry you could feel your blood pressure rise? I have and it isn't pretty!!
