Check-In Week 1, Lap 3...

Okay, everyone, spring is coming (hopefully)!! Time to get outside and get moving!! Once the weather is nice our excuses for staying inside and not exercising are over. They won't fly anymore. (Except maybe for Josh! We're praying for your appointment tomorrow!)

This week's check-in may be a little time consuming, so please take your time! But, please check in!

1. Write down your schedule for your "ideal" day- how you would like to eat, when would you like to exercise, etc. this week. But, BE REALISTIC! Don't write down that you would like to exercise for one hour a day if that hour has to be at 4am. Fit healthy eating and exercise into your schedule this week and show us how you're going to do it!

2. Next week, be prepared to share how you did with your eating and exercise goals. Be specific!

3. Weigh-In- If you don't want to give us a number, let us know how many pounds you are away from your goal weight!

1. OK jotting down my schedule Was I supposed to post it now? Well, here is today's schedule:
5:45am Up and out of bed! (Only had 5 hours of sleep Not really a good thing but I'm doing ok)
Made Big Gary his lunch. Kissed him good bye.
6am checked some email organized my desk a little.
6:30am Carried a huge hamper downstairs to do laundry. (weighing about 30lbs) This is probably going to be my most constructive exercise.
7am scrubbed my kitchen down
7:45am Children are awake
Get them breakfast change laundry from washer to dryer
8am weighed myself results to follow
9am cleaned rest of house for the day.
9:30am finally a moment to sit and eat breakfast. I had a smart ones chicken Parm meal from weight watchers for 5pts. I don't eat these often but saw it in store yesterday and thought I should get a couple. Have been busy every day lately which has caused me to eat very bad! This way I can pop one in microwave come back to it 6-8 minutes later it is ready I can eat it and be on my way. It was 5pts which is rougly 250calories. I am full! It was very yum! Yes I know chicken parm at 9:30 I'm weird but I also have been up almost 4 hours so this could techinically be brunch.
10am relax play with Cara, and Gary. Post here!
10:30am Get everyone ready to take Gary to school
11:10am take Gary to school.
11:30am drop off some Mary Kay catalogs
11:45am Back HOME!
12pm Cara down for hopefully a 2.5 hour nap. If she sleeps I will probably catch a 30 minute nap myself. Iron clothes for Regional Basketball game tonight and get ready for the game. If She stays asleep through that I may catch a 25min workout on the Ellyptical, if she wakes up I will settle for some dancing time with Miss Cara and lunges holding baby and squats holding baby. I can even throw in a few baby bench presses. 14lbs really can build the muscle if done enough!
3:10pm pick up Gary from school
3:30pm Pick up dog from home and take dog and children to my parents house.
3:45 Eat 3 ounces of boneless skinnless chicken breast for 3pts and a salad with spritzer dressing.
4:15pm Leave my parents to catch the bus to Canton for Baketball
5:45pm get books in order and do stast while watching the first regional game.
8PM Tip off GO RED DEVILS!
9:30-10pm Game over! Pray for us to win =-)
10:15pm catch bus home from Canton
11:45pm HOME!
12:30pm BED!

WOW ok just typing my day today has made me exhausted!

2. Next week will tell
3. WEIGH IN: Last weeks wt 174.8 this weeks weight 173.8 WOOHOO!! Down one lb! I'll take it! Every pound is a victory for me!

Good Luck Everyone! Prayers for a good week!

Hopefully I will do better in Lap 3 than I did in Lap 2.

Breakfast is usually the easiest meal for me. I like to have oatmeal or cream of wheat, juice & coffee on the days I work. I eat at 5:30 AM so that is about all I can tolerate that early in the morning. On my days off I like to have an egg, potatoe or slice of toast, juice & coffee.

I have a mid-morning snack at around 10:00 when I am at work. It's usually a fiber bar or two plain graham crackers. When I'm off I eat breakfast later in the morning so I don't have a snack.

Lunch is usally a sandwich or salad with soup. I drink crystal lite or plain water. Dessert is probiotic yogurt with granola or toasted wheat germ.

No mid afternoon snack when I'm working, but when I'm off I have 2-3 cookies & a cup of tea w/honey.

Dinner varies. This is usually when I get into trouble. Some days I am really good about what I am having, and other days I'm not. (I was not very disciplined during Lap 2.) Usually
I have to cook something and unless I have prepared something on the weekend, I eat whatever is in the frige.

I plan to exercise Thurs, Sat & Monday for at least 1 hr. each day.

I didn't lose anything during the second lap, so I'm still at 182.

My ideal day would be to get up about 7am and do some cardio (eliptical or treadmill) for 20-30 minutes.
I could then make sure Derek is moving around and getting out the door no later than 8.
It would also work out real nice if Haley stayed asleep until at least 730. She hasn't, and neither have I, slept too well this week because her nose is pretty stuffy.
I could get her ready to go. Depending on the day, I have a little more time to play with her and do a few things around the house. I have to be at work at 9 Mon and Fri, 11 on Tues, 10 on Wed, and 12 on Thurs. Yeah its confusing :) I also need to shower at some time in the morning. Then its time to go to work.
After work some days I pick up the kiddies and go home to make some dinner. Then there's more to do around the house. I can exercise in the evening if I didn't get to it in the morning. I would like to have some play time in the evenings especially when its warm outside. Next I gotta chase Derek to bed and get Haley her late cereal and bottle then off to sleep she will go. I like to get on the computer and blog at this time.
As for meals, I often skip breakfast basically because of time. I try to keep some fruit on hand to grab. I try to pack a lunch of a few healthy snacks like a granola bar, a salad, some soup, or a peanut butter on pita. For dinner, I try to eat something good for me but if that doesn't work out I just eat a little bit of whatever we have like the other night when the boys wanted pepperoni pizza and breadsticks.
I know where I need to improve, I truely need to exercise more and plan more meals. To do this, I'm gonna try the Cinch meal shakes from Shaklee which will cover 2 meals a day.
I still weigh 125 lbs.

Oh, I weighed 120 this morning, but I don't know how because last night after I came home from the party, I snacked a bunch. I wasn't really hungry, just wanted to eat! Hmmm!

Love you all and I believe in you!!

We serve a Mighty God who can do more than we could hope or imagine!! Woo hoo!! Let's believe Him for great things this week.

Ok my ideal schedule.

Get up at 8:30, give Logan a bottle, get him dressed. Get me dressed, freshened up, whatever.

Logan and I are both not early early eaters so we will play for about an hour until breakfast

Breakfast around 10. Oatmeal, Toast, Eggs, I need to work on it more, get some fruit in there.

It takes Logan an hour to feed himself so by the time I make breakfast and he eats its 11:30ish.

Logan goes down for a nap.

I spend time doing laundry, cleaning, checking e-mail, other household business, bible study, prayer.

1:00 Logan gets up, we play or we go outside for a walk. This is where I get most of my exercise. If we are not able to go outside for a walk or a playdate, then I don't exercise much. I am so glad its almost summer!!.

Logan has another nap, gets up around 4-4:30. After 3 we can walk in the township driveway that is next to our house. Its long so I usually walk it about an hour. Its so nice to get out and enjoy God's creation. During the summer, I do this almost every day, sometimes more than once on weekends when the township doesn't work.

5:30-6: Eric gets home, I make dinner, we eat and clean up, by that time its 7-7:30. We play with Logan for a while or we go outside for another walk.

8:00-8:30, Put Logan down, relax for the night.

Get up again at least once if not twice with my son who will not sleep through the night. It usually takes me about an hour to get back to sleep, ugh.

And we start all over again!!
