Roadblock to Weight Loss Success...

Break the binge/guilt/binge cycle...

Eating should make us feel good, energized for what we have to accomplish, grateful for the good things God's provided for us, should be enjoyable, and not consume our thinking!

One of the greatest roadblocks to weight loss success is this: We eat something we think we shouldn't, then we binge, feel guilty, and binge some more...some of us, while eating, tell ourselves, "I'll start again tomorrow!"

What if we didn't ever binge again? What would the outcome be? We would lose weight and thoroughly enjoy what we're eating.

Challenge this week:
Enjoy what you eat, but stay mindful!
Whatever you eat, stop when you begin to feel slightly full and let the food sit! Don't eat anything that will make you feel disgusting, bloated, fat, etc.
If you overeat...STOP and think about how you're feeling before you put anything else in your mouth!
And remember, one cookie isn't going to add a pound, it's the aftermath that may cause you to put on weight!
God has created you beautiful and successful and He's given you all you need to SUCCEED!

Girls-
I want you to know that I am praying for each one of you!
Enjoy these snowy, cold days by drinking lots of hot tea. Hopefully, you have time to curl up on the couch and read a good book. If not, take some time to just sit and look outside with that cup in your hand. It really is refreshing. God is good.
I am still amazed that a girl from sunny Arizona can enjoy these cold, cloudy, snowy days. I do! I love it here in Boardman, Ohio and feel blessed to know each one of you!

Amy-your comment last night at the Shaklee party about wanting us around here for a long time made my day! It reminds me that I love it here in Boardman!

Elaine- I am praying for you as you work this weekend!

Erin- I'll bet you had a terrific time on your DATE! Woo hoo!

Bobbie- Did you have to work this weekend? If so, I am praying that the temptation isn't too great!

Lori- Carol ordered way too many tempting Buckeyes for the family party today! :) They look great and, obviously, you have been really busy.

Hi everyone,
Well things are going really well.
I've lost 2lbs. I worked out five days this week and watched what I ate. When I came home from work tonight I was a little hungry so I ate broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.
Thanks for the challenge Heather. I just got done reading my lesson for Jr church and wouldn't you know it was on temptation. Even Jesus was tempted. Although he never gave in to it he knows what we go through and gives us His word to encourage us. Praise the Lord He is good all the time.
I pray that everyone has a blessed Sunday.

Lori
